Travelers looking for unusual and exotic destinations adventures can now access one of the rarest and, of course, difficult to achieve given the normal tourist channels: the North Pole. Reserved far explorers, adventurers and athletes, their mysterious and beautiful landscape is up for grabs starting next month of May 2012 thanks to Air Berlin.
Indeed, the German airline Deutsche Polarflug in working with a round trip or return to the Arctic by day 5 of the month, taking off from the airport Berlin- Tegel, Norway and continuing through the route north on the fjords Spitzbergen, Arctic Ocean icebergs and ice sheets. The plane, an Airbus A330, will descend in height to allow a detailed look at the landscape and photograph the magnificent scenery while experts in the field give an explanation to passengers, which also can enjoy a menu created ad hoc.
A curious fact is that it will go around the world twice in a few minutes across all degrees of longitude meridians, then undertake the expedition back flying the Greenland, Iceland and Scotland to complete the unusual journey twelve hours later.
