A few months ago we talked about improving the timeliness of Spanish airports, which had managed to reduce the backlog of operations. Well, during the month of August the European airports have improved their average rates on time.
Thus, compared to 2.8 minutes per flight delays that occurred last July, in August the figure had fallen by an average of 2.3 minutes.
On the other hand, if we compare with the same month last year, we note that the average delay in August 2010, then 3.3 minutes, one minute was greater than in the current year.
According to data provided by the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation ( Eurocontrol ), those airports where delays in operations has been greatest in the last month are those in Athens, Barcelona, Marseille and Langen.
But El Prat Airport is not alone in our country which is among the largest delays, but we find several Spanish among the top twenty list. Here we also find aerodromes and the canaries Madrid- Barajas.
